Friends, welcome to the 21st Century! There are a growing
number of media and related technologies available to our
congregations. These are new forms of communicating and important
tools for sharing our faith. I offer one-on-one and group
trainings and support for these technologies.
Note: I heard someone DEEP inside our movement say that they
don't know if we'll be around in 50 years. "Yikes!"
If we want to stick around we have to learn a LOT of new tricks.
Let me help...
Video Production

Video Training
Training YOU and your congregation to use your consumer
grade video camera to make amazing videos.
Video Editing
Training so you can use free tools to edit the video
you shoot.
Blogging & RSS Feeds
You've heard about blogs. These are amazing tools for
faith communities. You just need to be smart about how you
approach it. Blog right and you can make your community
mroe accessible, transparent and welcoming. Bad blogs are
a waste of time
The
Blogging Church
Podcasting
If you record it, it can be delivered to any computer, iPod
and similar audio players. Heck, somebody is preaching every
week, why not share it with the entire planet. Learn about
podcasting and how this can help draw in newcomers, reach
shut-ins and grow your congregations.

Video
Podcasting
Similar
to podcasting, but with video. I think this is beyond where
most of our congregations are. But if you have the volunteers,
energy an the gear, why not.
Web Video & Youtube
If you have a website, your missing a huge opportunity
if you dont put a video on it. You can put videos others
have made on your site, or make your own. Just know that
people are growing to expect this. It also lets people see
what your church is like before they decide not to come
- and most lean this way... Help people connect, show them
who you are. Let them hear your voice...
Video Projection Systems
Video projetors are getting very cheap. I believe that
every church should have a screen and video projector that
can hook up to a dvd player and/or laptop. It allows for
a whole new range of programming. Just don't use power point!
Power point kills. If you use it, limit each slide to three
phrases.
Multi-Media Worship Support
I'm doing research and training in this area so I'm
ready to go when our congregations get to this point. Say
five years from now? Maybe ten?
