Tutorial on Resizing Clip Art

You can SHRINK a graphic and it will look okay. Maybe not as crisp as the original, but okay. HOWEVER, if you stretch it, it will look all chunky and ugly. Avoid this at all costs. And please please please don't ever use a chunky graphic on an order of service -- it says "We don't know what we're doing. Go check out the church down the street."

Example:

Normal (as designed)

If you shrink it

If you stretch it

See how bad the stretched one looks? Each image is made of little dots. If you stretch an image the little dots will be magnified, like looking at a newspaper image with a magnifying glass. Please promise to NEVER EVER EVER stretch chalices so they look fuzzy, chunky and ugly in your publications. It makes your congregation look bad.
